Y’all my baby is 11 months! Time is moving way too fast for me and to be honest … I have barely started planning for his first birthday party. I’m pretty sure I’ll be in tears next month when he turns one! It is really such an honor and blessing to watch this little guy grow.
I will admit, sleep has been a little off for this guy recently. I am still getting sleep, but it is definitely getting interrupted in the middle of the night around 4 or so. If I had to take a couple of guesses as to why it would be that either he’s not going to sleep in time or because I don’t nurse him at bedtime. Either way, I’ll be working on fixing this because Mama misses her sleep. And he does not have a set bedtime, which is on me. It’s never too late to try to get him back into a rhythm.
Ash turned 10 months on the 13th! Yes y’all, we are in the double digits! And we are just about 2 1/2 weeks shy of 11 months! I am going to make it a goal of mine to post his 11-month update ON TIME!
My bubs will be one in less than 2 months, how sway? How!? This guy is growing right before my eyes and it is just too much to handle. The way time is moving, I’m just trying to hold onto every moment that I have with him.
As always, this guy lets me sleep through the night 95% of the time. This is my first baby y’all! God definitely blessed me, now I only pray & hope that his future brother or sister will do the same.
I am proud to say that I have been breastfeeding for 10 months strong, so go me! Breastfeeding can be a struggle and can even be time consuming when you’re pumping to keep your supply up. At the most, I probably nurse him just about 2-3x a day, but other than that I am feeding him real food. He usually eats what I eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
A couple of days ago, I was hanging out at my sister’s house, and my brother in law ask me how old Ash is now, I told him 6 months. Everyone just laughed and told me to stop being in denial. I mean, I know he’s 9 months, but why is time flying by so fast. I remember being a child and the days felt neverending. Ash serves as a daily reminder that I need to enjoy every moment God has blessed me with. Now let’s get to what Mr. Ash has been up to!
I told you guys I would have his dad write his 8 month update, so I’m blaming him, because bubs is definitely 8 months and 2 weeks as of today! Well guys, this made me blush and fall in love with my husband just a little bit more. Oh and it’s our 2 year anniversary, so YAY us! Alright, alright, back to Ash.
TAKE A LOOK A WEEK 1, I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE SLIPPED!
DAY 1|May 20, 2019
I barely ate today. All I had was a banana! Then for lunch I ate my breakfast which was a turkey protein bowl with potatoes, peppers, spinach, and eggs … sounds legit huh? I was able to finish meal prepping and that night ended up with mixed veggies, salmon, and cauliflower rice mixed with cilantro and lime.
Let’s pick up where we stopped in Part II…
My husband was headed back to the oil rig for work and even though my mother offered me to come to stay with her … in my head, I had everything under control. The first days or so were pretty chill, now I believe the problem that I ran into was I didn’t want to take bubs out and I needed to go grocery shopping. I told myself that I would hold off until the weekend, so that way I could drop him off at my sister’s since she only lives a few minutes away from me, and do my groceries Friday evening.
It’s Tuesday morning here in Dallas, rainy and gray. I made it to the gym at 5 am, Ash is bathed, fed, and ready for the day. I have about an hour before work, so this is my “me time” to take a minute and bring you guys up to date.
As many of you know, I did the Whole30, and it helped jump start my weight loss journey. If you don’t know what the Whole30 is, you can visit my post here, Hello WHOLE30., to get some background information on the program.
